Overview

Tranesophageal echocardiography (TEE) is an advanced echocardiography technique used to assess the cardiac condition. In this semi-invasive procedure, an ultrasound transducer, guided by an endoscope, is introduced down the esophagus. Spared from the obstruction of sternum and ribs, this procedure allows one to have a more distinct view and also obtain high resolution images of the heart and its internal structures. Such a highly specialized procedure requires clear understanding the concepts as well as ideal indications and contraindications along with the procedure technique.

This meticulously planned course, guided by the experts in the field, will help you attain an in depth knowledge regarding the theoretical as well as practical aspects of TEE. From the basics of ultrasonography to the use of TEE in evaluating specific cardiac conditions, this course is a one-stop guide on all the elements of TEE for clinical use. This engaging course will enhance your skills to help improve patient outcomes.
